Wave Alchemy Transistor Revolution MKII.We’ve compiled a list of some of the best 808 plugins available right now. If you’ve been searching (and who hasn’t?) then look no further. With the birth of the internet, plugin manufacturers and sample creators have flooded the market with their products, making it difficult to find the perfect 808. Not many sounds in modern-day music have had quite an impact like the 808. I honestly think he did a great job.Over a period of three decades, the 808 has become an important sound for hip hop, trap, and other electronic music genres. That being said - if i compare the dry samples to the ones that Hugo did for Tape808 they are very very similar. I send some kicks to beat you down who was impressed (which is good as he is obsessed). I can send you a sample - let me know what you think. These will be real 808 samples covering a number of different styles from Classic Dry to extreme processing in addition to a synthetic set of electronic Kicks/snares. They are not yet perfect (the way i want them to be) but will be completed, I HOPE by end of September. The raw samples have been processed to give them some of that tone/character I personally like. Have samples 2 different TR-808's and used some nice synths to create a selection. dope, and a perfect example.Im working on my electronic Pack - have been for over 2 months! eek. It really has gotten to the point where if you want something in the realm of an 808 kick, if you dont use the term '808' you could be wasting a lot of time regardless of the source. and the quest and passing on of knowledge is the goodness, keep that up. That being said - it is part of the modern lexicon. No reason for others not to be made aware. The reason i will continue to press the point regardless of the wasted effort is because this site is all about education! HELL im learning every day. Doesn't make it right! I hear people say - sure it's easy to create your own.I get seriously excited thinking that I am going to be introduced to a replica of the circuit etc etc.then significantly dissapointed when i am greeted with some rubbish about creating a kick in a synth.

Its part of the language we use and understand. The term '808' has long since separated itself from it's humble but now archaic origins and moved on to being associated with anything along the lines of 'big boomy synth kick'. no need to covet the samples some of the processed versions though. There are many fanatics out there that have released high quality samples of the machine all for the love of it. you can find an excellent and diverse range of 808's across the internet if you dredge and dredge and dredge. I recently samples an 808 and although I prefer my samples they are not much different than the goldbaby stuff.

It has to be the synth? Wrong its usually that the user does not know how to create what they want and so the never ending hunt begins. A lot of people happy to dismiss synth x because the preset are not much good. Same applies for preset hounds and synthesis.

Sorry if this seems harsh but I really do think its true. As a result you're looking for better samples. I can bet my life that it is your mixing and processing that is lacking. Honestly those goldbaby samples are about as good as they get.

I don't believe you really want better samples. Distortion and saturation created lots of overtones making the sound really audible. This method od synthesis unique to the 808 changes the sound of the sine wave generated. The decay is result of a feedback loop triggered by amplitude. The 808 uses an accent on a t bridge circuit design. Yes you can create big boomy synth kicks with relative ease. Secondly people need to stop using the term 808 for any ol synth drum. But you can easily create your own.First of all if you can't make goldbaby samples sound Like what you want then you're either not looking for an 808 or you are not aware of methods to change sound such as envelopes.
